    The Center For Arizona Policy is nothing more than a far right christian “think tank” that doesn’t actually stand for anything other than reinforcing their personal biases and beliefs and turning them into law.

  5. You know at the end of the day I actually see nothing wrong with this. If some idiot doesn’t want gay people do visit his establishment he is just going to make less monney as gay people and even straight people who will think the guy is an asshole will go somewhere else.
    Aditionally you can piss them off by making an atheist only restaurant right next to them. 
    I know its against the law and its weird but i strongly belive that people should be allowed to select costumers any way they like. Because at the end of the day there are so many businesses to choose from that it doesnt really matter if some of them dont want to serve you, you can allways go make their competition happy

  6. last time i checked, restaurants have the right to reserve business to anyone they want. But they can’t pass a law to say fuck gays eating here… thats fucked up.

  7. Matt, Yes it is very easy to identify African Americans be because we are a race of people properly called Negroid. What you are doing now is taking who we are and trying to attach it to something that is no where near the same to use in your argument.

    Homosexuality is an act not a race.

    Further more, us African Americans are tired of white people assuming to speak on our behalf. We have no control of the media so they go ahead and say what they want for their political gain anyway. What you are doing now is no different.

    Us African Americans could care less what someone does in their bedroom. That’s their business so don’t try to force it on us, we find that offensive! Thank you.

  12. Honestly, this law shouldn’t be passed because it’s BLATANT discriminatory against a person’s sexual orientation. But hey, if it is, we know who the assholes in Arizona are. 

  13. you are wrong… perhaps YOU’VE moved passed this… perhaps certain OTHERS are moved passed this… not everyone are or will move passed this. Not everyone is going to agree with homosexuality… ever. Just like every other group of people that has been scrutinized from the beginning of the countries founding… am i happy about this? no… but im not going to play naive. being naive doesn’t really help anything.

    and i just want to add… Homosexuals are NOT the only people getting shitted on right now… one would think with ALL media surrounding it and constantly making these folks victims…

  14. If this were just about private businesses, then I wouldn’t mind this law. If a private business wants to commit suicide by being openly discriminatory towards certain customers, I say let them. But these “we don’t serve gays” bills going a step farther and including government employees such as cops being allowed to refuse serving gay people violates the 14th amendment. If it passes, it should be struck down as unconstitutional. Could the legislators who are promoting these bills all be impeached?

  18. I totally get where you are coming from but the law should allow private organisation to discriminate on any basis. If I’m ever a business owner I plan (or would plan if it was legal) to discriminate against religious people, bigots, people that sell homoeopathic remedies, psychics, ect. I see people that may fit into these categories as people I want to limit my association with (both at customers and employees). In the end bigoted businesses who didn’t accept gay customers would either go bankrupt or adapt. Instead we have a situation where a person’s right to use their private property is been unfairly limited (and bigoted businesses are being ‘closeted’, personally I want to be able to identify the bigots).

  21. I believe that turning down transaction with a customer is a necessary right of a business owner even though I believe doing so based on sexual orientation/preference is financially dumb. If a business owner is required to do business with a customer regardless of how the business owner thinks or feels (even if I think and feel the owner is being dumb), then not only is the owner now an indentured servant of the state but the same concept will apply to other clients.

    For example: imagine a group of KKK white supremacists demanding cakes and pies from a baker who opposes racial supremacy of any sort. Technically, the baker would be required to do business with them if he/she is also required to do business with homosexuals. The reason I say this is because rule of law is suppose to apply to everybody not just the favored demographic of the year.

  25. First thing: do you even know anything about AZ? Or does the whole south west all just look like ‘Breaking Bad’ to you? There’s more to do than stare at a giant hole in the ground. Do yourself a favor and look up, oh, Antelope Canyon, Pichacho Peak (site of the westernmost battle in the Civil War), Coyote Butte, Hazasupai Falls, The Painted Desert, and the Yuma Dunes, and maybe get some culture before you slam my state: and that “hole” happens to be a mecca for paleontologists, geologists, the main source of water to CA and about three other states, and one of the major wonders of the fucking world. And with good reason.

    Second thing: Where are you getting your information, O’ Benign Bastion of Journalistic Literacy–you don’t even have a referable source to back up ANYTHING you’re saying!–where did you get your details? MSNBC? The Young Turks? Buzzfeed? Reddit?Tumblr? The flying spaghetti monster? Canadian Jedis? I have no means of ascertaining the legitimacy of your commentary: without citations, you’re just hatemongering.

  30. People should have the right to do whatever they want with their businesses. This shouldn’t be a case of you’re rights end where my feelings begin. Could you imagine if a gay store owner told straight people to leave? They would be labeled as a “progressive hero”. Keep drinking the jew

  31. If you want to be a retard and commit social suicide by refusing to serve gay people, that’s your right. Business owners shouldn’t be legally required to serve anyone with few exceptions.
