Arizona businesses support higher education standards
Arizona businesses are ready to hire, but despite high unemployment, they are having trouble finding new workers with the skills they need to fill vacancies. That’s why, in 2010 Arizona adopted more rigorous K-12 education standards, the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. These standards were developed by educators, supported by business leaders and are better to designed to prepare students for college and the careers of the 21st century.
